Lime & Co Kaba – perfect beach hotel in Sri Lanka

by Kelly

Lime & Co Kaba was the perfect little stop off on our Sri Lankan trip. It is an oasis in the sleepy beach town of Kabalana, tucked down a little lane opposite the beach.

The perfect spot to while away a few days although this could very easily turn into a week! It is a little boutique hotel, eco chic and the perfect spot to stop, chill out and enjoy the beach lifestyle.

Location –

Located in between Koggala Beach and Ahangama Beach on the south coast of Sri Lanka, just up the road from Midigama.

Keep an eye out for the turn, it is down a laneway, head half way down the lane and you’ll see the Lime & Co sign.

A short walk to the Welhengoda surf point and Kabalana Beach, head off for a few hours at the beach and back to enjoy your surrounds in Lime & Co sounds like the perfect day to me.

The Villa –

The Lime and Co Kaba villa is located in its own private grounds. Fully fenced, it’s a secluded sanctuary nestled away but minutes from the beach. A fun and earthy shade of yellow it is decorated beautifully. There are 3 double rooms and 2 twin rooms. There is a games and TV room upstairs and a shared kitchen and pool area downstairs.

This is the perfect place to rent out if you are travelling with family or friends as you can be fully self sufficient and really relax and enjoy each others company.

The Rooms –

We stayed in a double room and it was stunning. I loved the chic décor and the mosaic tiles were a dream. The bathroom was decorated with rustic concrete finishes and a recycled iron dish sink.

The rendered concrete and rustic wooden touches throughout the room gave off a laid back vibe which can only occur when everything has been carefully selected.

The bed was the most comfortable of our trip, the sheets were soft and the pillows were heavenly.

The Outdoor Area –

The rest of the hotel is as perfect as the rooms. We enjoyed time in the recreation room, battling a few rounds of checkers and watching some TV in the evening. Days were spent by the pool, plunging in to cool off in the lunch time sun. There are lounging beach chairs for sun tanning or enjoying some afternoon drinks.

The shared kitchen was excellent. It had everything that was required to look after ourselves easily and simply. The full sized fridge was put to good use chilling all our drinks and fruits purchased from the stall up the road.

Our Final Thoughts –

We loved our time at Lime & Co Kaba, in fact we plan to return with friends as soon as possible. This was one of the best places that we stayed in our whole time in Sri Lanka. The combination of tasteful furnishing and relaxed private surroundings made this the ideal place to spend some time. Our stay here was pure bliss and we can not wait to return!

If you decide to stay let them know you’d like the same room as Passport Nomads and they will assist you!
